Privacy policy
Last updated 20 September 2026. LessFAQ is a Shopify app that generates product FAQs from a store’s public product pages and published policies.
What we collect
When a merchant installs the app we store the shop domain, OAuth access token, and granted scopes so the app can stay installed. When a merchant generates a widget we store the product URL, scraped product and policy text, generated FAQs, and shopper questions sent through the widget.
We do not collect customer names, emails, order history, or payment details. Shopper questions are free-text and are stored only for the merchant who owns that widget.
How we use data
Product and policy text is used only to write and edit FAQs for that store. Access tokens are used only to keep the Shopify install valid. We do not sell merchant or shopper data.
After a store installs the app and starts a subscription, merchant-approved FAQs are available on that store so shoppers and AI agents can read them. Shopper questions sent through the widget or the agent API are stored in that merchant’s inbox.
GDPR and Shopify webhooks
We honor Shopify mandatory webhooks. customers/data_request returns that LessFAQ does not store customer personal data. customers/redact is a no-op for the same reason. shop/redact and app/uninstalled delete the shop’s access token.
